Founded in 1984 as Michael McDonald, we began as a small green grocer in Wilmslow, supplying fresh fruit and vegetables to the local community.

As demand grew, we expanded into foodservice, delivering directly to local hospitality businesses.

Over the years, our focus shifted from retail to wholesale, and in line with this evolution and to reflect the family behind the business we rebranded as Coopers.

Operating from our purpose-built facility in Knutsford, we offer chilled, frozen, and ambient food storage, supplying fresh produce, dairy, and dry goods to chefs, and caterers across the region.

Our SALSA-accredited operation ensures top-tier food safety and full product traceability. We prioritise locally sourced ingredients and maintain strong relationships with growers across the UK and Europe.

With our temperature-controlled fleet, online ordering, and a dedicated app, we make sourcing ingredients seamless. Yet, we’re still true to our roots, just a phone call away for personalised support and expert advice.
